How to Start Slayer's Retribution

 

Interact with the Brutal Note in the Den: This will add the Slayer's Retribution quest to your log. However, you can't begin it immediately.

 

Clear the Temple of Rot Stronghold: Before you can start the quest, you need to clear the Temple of Rot Stronghold in Hawezar (north of the Jirandai Waypoint).

 

Objectives:

 

Kill the Cannibal Champions inside.

 

Locate and defeat Molqarth, the boss inside the stronghold. Molqarth has two phases, but he doesn't pose a significant threat with dangerous attacks.

 

After Molqarth's defeat, rekindle the Wanderer's Statue to complete the Stronghold.

 

How to Complete Slayer's Retribution

 

Read the Blood-Scribed Sign: After clearing the Temple of Rot Stronghold, head to the southern entrance and read the Blood-Scribed Sign. This will unlock the next phase of the quest.

 

Search for the Fetid Larder:

 

Exit the Stronghold and immediately search for the Fetid Larder, located to the left of the entrance.

 

Inside, kill the Cannibals present. Once the area is clear, you'll find Varyana chained up.

Defeat Varyana in Battle: Once freed, she will attack you. Deal enough damage to make her yield. Afterward, speak with her.

 

Help Varyana Get Revenge:

 

Leave the Fetid Larder and talk to Varyana again. She asks for your assistance in avenging her by taking down two Cannibal Chieftains.

 

First Chieftain - Grelkar:

 

Head northeast to the quest location where the Herald of Grelkar will appear.

 

Defeat the Herald to receive the Hand of Invitation.

 

Travel to Grelkar's Feast Hall.

 

Inside, fight Grelkar and his followers. After their defeat, burn the effigy to summon Zolmog.

 

Watch the cutscene, then exit the Feast Hall and speak to Varyana.

 

Second Chieftain - Zolmog:

 

Now, travel northeast to find a boat leading to Guulrhan or use the Fate's Retreat Waypoint and head southwest to the boat location.

 

Enter the boat and travel to the Arena of Guulrhan.

 

Proceed through the Dungeon, eliminating the Cannibals along the way until you reach the Cannibal Gate.

 

Speak to Varyana, destroy the gate, and continue into the area where Zolmog resides.

 

Kill Zolmog and his followers to complete the final objective of the quest.

 

Unlocking Varyana

 

With Zolmog defeated and the final cutscene concluded, Slayer's Retribution will be complete. Varyana will now be unlocked as a Mercenary.

 

How to Recruit Varyana:

 

Go to the Den and speak to Varyana.

 

You can now recruit her as a Mercenary or Reinforcement to aid you in your adventures.
