Purpose:

Somber Smithing Stones are used to upgrade unique and Elden Ring Items special weapons (often referred to as “boss weapons” or “legendary weapons”).

These weapons usually have their own unique abilities and scaling, and they require Somber Smithing Stones for upgrades instead of regular Smithing Stones.

How to Use:

Upgrade at Smithing Tables or Sites of Grace (like with regular Smithing Stones), but these stones are exclusively for unique weapons.

Similar to Smithing Stones, Somber Smithing Stones have tiers, and each tier corresponds to an upgrade level.

Upgrade Tiers:

Somber Smithing Stones [1–6]: These are used in ascending order for unique or special weapons, with each tier corresponding to a higher upgrade level.

Somber Smithing Stone [1]: For low-tier upgrades.

Somber Smithing Stone [2]: For medium-tier upgrades.

Somber Smithing Stone [3]: For higher-level upgrades, and best place to buy elden ring items so on.
